FAQs

Renting a slingshot is a unique experience. You've got questions. We've got answers. There are two tabs to review, including Rental Process and Important Information.

  • How old do I have to be to rent a slingshot?
    You must be at least 21 years old to rent our slingshot. A copy of your valid driver's license and current auto insurance coverage is required.
  • Do I need a motorcycle license to drive a slingshot?
    No, you do not need a motorcycle license to drive a slingshot because it is considered an autocycle. A valid driver's license is required.
  • What do I need to provide in order to rent a slingshot?
    A copy of your valid driver's license is required at the time of booking. Your full coverage auto policy should cover rental cars with a value of at least $40,000 and any other parties involved in the accident, physical damage, and/or bodily arm. Insurance coverage is also offered through our booking platform, Turo.
  • How much does it cost and for how long can we rent the slingshot?
    Our slingshot is booked through a platform called Turo. The rental fee is based on your age, insurance, and some varying Turo fees, but usually runs about $260 for a 24-hour rental.
  • How far can I travel during my rental?
    You have a limit of 250 miles per day during your rental. Turo will add additional fees for every extra mile driven past the limit.
  • What kind of gas does a slingshot require?
    Premium gasoline with 91 or 93 octane ONLY. Please fill the slingshot up before returning it and place the gas receipt in the glove compartment.
  • What should we do if the weather doesn't look good for riding?
    Reach out and we will be happy to work with you on re-booking your rental for a sunnier day.
  • Do I need to wear safety equipment?
    Helmets are not required by Illinois law. We do highly recommend protective eyewear or sunglasses.
